Library is the learning center. The school has vast collection of books, magazines, periodicals and newspapers. Students can borrow books for one week only on the card issued in their name. It also has computers that allow children to access audio visual aids in the library. A fully equipped reading center cum library for the students of junior school exists in junior block where children can easily access the library under the supervision of the teacher.

The School Library provides information, inculcates ideas and develops knowledge that is so essential to functioning successfully if today’s information and knowledge based society. It is fundamental to school library to equip students with lifelong learning skills and develop in them creative thinking and imagination, and enabling them to live as ideal and responsible citizens

Our strategic planning is based on the school’s strategic imperatives and we report on these. We are committed to facilitating access to the information resources needed by the school, working with academic staff and students.

The Library worked closely with the students. The School Librarian assisted with the student art competition and the wearable circular activities. Almost all the students are direct or indirect users.

Thank you to the students who enlivened our days and to the staff in other departments who worked in partnership as a user with us.

School Library Objectives.

• Effectively Participate in the teaching learning programme of the school.
• Provide the students appropriate reading & learning materials for over all development.
• Assist the students to become skilful and discriminating users of library.
• Support all students in learning and practicing skills for evaluating and using information.
• Workout a programme in consultation with teachers for the effective use of all types of library materials.

Promoting Reading Habit:-

With the help of teachers students are taking interest in library periods.

• Telling pupils of books that might be of their interest.
• Making assignments requiring the pupils to use library resources.
• Weekly we ask students for Stories telling time.

Library Space:-

• Two rooms (one in main building & one in Pre primary building) approx.. 3800 sq ft.
• Siting of approximately 40 students at a time.

Total number of reading materials:-

All students are using library according to their periods allotted in their time-table. Two library periods are allotted for one section. Students use to read the books in their allotted time and according to their need they use to borrow books to their home also. Since student’s strength is increasing, there is always requirement for new order for books and resource books in every school library, to fulfill the government norms.
