The house system plays a vital role in the effective running of the school. The house system coordinates and develops a wide range of school activities including academics, games and other co-curricular activities. The system elicits a keen sense of participation and belonging and cut across all class division, there by bringing a greater degree of cohesion between the students, staff and administration. The life line of this system is curricular and co-curricular activities which promote the active and wholesome all round development of the growing students.
Students are grouped under four different houses –
VARUNA, VASUNDHARA, VAYU, VYOM.
Each house is headed by students known as “House Captain” who is assisted by “House Vice - Captain”. There are two teachers as “House Master” of each house assisted by several others teachers. Inter house competition in games and sports are held and side by side Literary, Cultural and Curricular based activities are organized and points are awarded to the students as well as to the house. At the end of the year maximum number of points is awarded to the house gets the “House Of The Year” trophy. A student is expected to show consistent interest in at least one curricular area and co-operation in house activities.
“Healthy mind sustains in a healthy body.” Physical and mental relation is a key to peaceful life. Physical education and classes are an integral part of the SPS, Chitrakoot. This helps students to channelize their energy in the right direction
